Three Aquinas Football players and East running back Freddie Brock signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday.

Steve Mahar signed to Syracuse to play Tight End. He, Tyson Foster and Trevor Brake all played on the New York State Championship team at Aquinas in 2018. Foster, an offensive lineman, is going to Albany while Brake, a long-snapper, is going to Maine.

He'll be joined at Maine by East running back Freddie Brock. Totalling almost 5,000 all-purpose yards in his career, Brock is the first Eagles athlete to sign Division I since the U of R joined forces with the city school. Brake and Brock join current Black Bears T.J. Jones (Aquinas) and Connor Zamiara (McQuaid) on the Maine roster next year.

Also signing from Aquinas, track star Nia Williams-Matthews. Currently ranked fifth in the Nation in the triple jump (39'2"), Williams-Matthews is heading to Youngstown State.
