Four Section 5 teams advanced through the New York State semifinals to Sunday's Championship games.

On the boys side, Fairport's Jude Rouhana scored in the second overtime to give the Red Raiders a 1-0 victory over Shenendehowa in the Class AA semifinals in Middletown. They face Brentwood of Long Island in the finals Sunday at 10am.

In Class A, Greece Athena got goals from Ryan Fitzgerald and Brian Peindel in topping Jamesville-DeWitt 2-0 and earn a date with Jericho in the NYS Finals, at 12:30 in Middletown.

For the girls, Spencerport advanced to the State Class A finals for the third time in four years, beating Pearl River in a shootout. The teams played to a scoreless tie through regulation and the Rangers won the shootout 4-2. They'll face Shoreham-Wading River in the finals in Cortland at 1:15.

Avoca defeated Hammond in the Class D semifinals, 3-0 to advance to the finals, where they'll play Poland in the final.
