DeDee Ackers hit a three-pointer with just under two minutes left and Edison defeated East 49-46.

The Eagles had a 40-30 lead with two minutes left in the third quarter before the Inventors (15-3) went on a 7-0 run to cut the lead to three.

The teams went back and forth with Tanasia Williams scoring to tie the game at 45.

But with senior star Dyaisha Fair going cold from the field, Ackers stepped up and drilled a three-pointer, her fourth of the game, with 1:50 to go to win it.

The Inventors dominated on the boards, Fair with 20 points but she added 11 rebounds. DJ Thaim (8) and Shaq Burrows (13) also contributing to the Inventors' rebound total.
