Northstar senior Miles Brown scored his 2,442 point early in the fourth quarter against Geneva to become Section V's All-Time leading scorer.

Brown switched hands on a drive early in the fourth quarter for the record, eclipsing Dansville's Neil Weidman's record set in 1993. Weidman joined Brown, his father, brother Mike who also plays guard for Northstar (7-0) and Weidman's sons after the game.

The Panthers (5-4) came out fired up, leading by seven at the half. Brown led all scorers at the break with 16 of the 24 points he needed to claim the record.

Miles scored right before the third quarter buzzer to move within one point of Weidman, the bucket coming as the Knights surged to the lead.

Northstar then drew up a clear-out for Brown for the record, finishing with a game-high 29 points. Sophomore Sean Smith added 20 points.

Geneva dominated in the paint with Reid Patchett and Akim Hudson scoring 16 points each.
