ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The inaugural Docs and Divas event Wednesday evening drew dozens of women to Highland Hospital’s “Spirit of Women” program.
Health care professionals discussed a variety of topics at small round table discussions.
From tips on aging successfully to cutting your risk for cancer, participants could ask questions in an informal setting.
“Women in the community, people in the community, can get informal opportunities to speak with us, kind of break down some barriers,” OBGYN Sraddha Prativadi said. “it can be a little intimidating to go to the doctors and so we want to deliver high value into the community. Be really personable show everyone that we are accessible and encourage people to take care of themselves.”
Through workshops like these, the program keeps women up to date on the latest health information that matters to them.
