ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Regional Health has launched a website that helps patients get a cost estimate for healthcare procedures and services.

A new federal law that took effect this year requires hospitals to post a list of charges on their website.

To make it easier for patients to navigate that list, Rochester Regional's self-service tool provides real-time estimates that detail their out-of-pocket responsibility.

"We want to make sure that we a have tool available for our patients and their family members to be able to look up and ultimately quite honestly price shop between ourselves and other organizations using the tool," said Tammi Imm, vice president of front-end revenue cycle for RRH.
