ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Regional Health is celebrating a milestone in heart health.
Dr. Jeremiah Depta and his team performed its 1,000th TAVR procedure.
It makes Rochester General Hospital one of the top 25 sites in the country for the procedure.
TAVR is the replacement of an aortic valve. It can be done same-day or early discharge.
"It's really gratifying to not only go through that process and to see that evolve over a relatively short period of time in medicine and just completely change the paradigm in how we practice," said Depta.
