ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Institute of Technology is requiring all students, faculty, and staff who will be on campus in the spring to get the flu vaccine before the start of the semester.

The college says it will be difficult to differentiate flu and COVID-19 symptoms, and says the two paired together pose a serious health risk for everyone on campus.

RIT is partnering with Wegmans for on-campus flu vaccine clinics.

If students or staff get vaccinated elsewhere, they will need to provide proof by submitting documents to the wellness portal.

If students or staff refuse to get vaccinated, the college says depending on the reason they may not be able to be on campus.
