ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The United Way of Greater Rochester announced its newest campaign.

The organization's theme for its 2021 campaign is "Build Strong."

It also announced it raised more than $35 million during its 2020 campaign.

That includes funds to donate 3,000 Chromebooks to the Rochester City School District and $6 million for the Community Crisis Fund.

The president of the local United Way chapter says all of that success was thanks to Rochester residents.

"Our power of collective giving is unmatched and remains the foundation of what is possible as we rally to take care of our own,” said president and CEO of United Way of Greater Rochester Jaime Saunders.
