Brockport firefighters organized a hero's welcome home Sunday for local Vietnam veteran and former Brockport Fire Chief Larry Vaughan.
More than two dozen firefighters surrounded the former chief's home, just days after he returned home from receiving a liver transplant.
Larry is credited with training countless firefighters and is looked at as a mentor in the industry.
Brockport firefighters say Larry's exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War caused his liver to fail.
He received a transplant last week at Strong Memorial Hospital and came back home on Friday.
We're told Larry is doing well!
