BRIGHTON, N.Y. — School leaders in Brighton have made the decision to remain hybrid for the rest of the school year.

The district tentatively planned to bring middle and high schoolers back on Monday, but it says the daily number of COVID-19 cases in Monroe County did not fall below the threshold needed.

Superintendent Kevin McGowan says he believes the district will be able to fully reopen by the start of the new school year.
