BRIGHTON, N.Y. — The Brighton Central School District says numbers are promising for a return to full in-person teaching for grades 6 through 12, starting Monday.
"We're really excited about that," said Brighton Superintendent Kevin McGowan. "So at this rate, we'll be awfully, awfully close. If we have to delay by a day or two, we will. Because if we're that close, we do not want to give up the opportunity for kids to come back to school four to five days 6 through 12 for the remainder of the year."
Much of this is still tentative.
McGowan said he'll keep district parents posted with additional updates on Wednesday and Friday.
Provided the number of cases per a 100,000 drops below a certain level according to CDC guidelines, middle school and high school would be able to attend classes in-person.
Spectrum News 1 is told masking in the buildings would still be required.
