ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester City School District is closing School 29 for the remainder of the week.
This after the support staff union confirmed a member of the custodial staff passed away.
BENTE confirmed the death of the man, saying he was a hard worker and was loved by all who worked with him.
The building's principal says due to the amount of positive COVID-19 cases, students will learn remotely for the rest of the week out of an abundance of caution.
The Monroe County Health Department is now working to complete contact tracing, and the building is being cleaned and disinfected.
