ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Students at Monroe Community College return Monday for the start of the spring semester.
Some students are on campus this semester, but the college says 75% of students are remote.
They're using an app called Circle In, which allows students to form study groups virtually and have the opportunity to earn rewards.
MCC is also offering a new model of learning called "Hi-Flex," which allows a small number of students to still have in-person learning but the same lectures are also simulcasted online and recorded for students to listen to later.
This semester ends two weeks earlier than normal since there is no spring break.
