IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — Police say they are searching for one suspect after two men were seen shooting at each other outside the IHOP on Goodman Street in Irondequoit.
Officers responded to the restaurant on Wednesday. When they arrived, they were informed that the two men had been observed exchanging gunfire in the parking lot. Police say both men left the area before officers arrived.
According to investigators, no one was hit by the bullets; however, a car was struck and damaged. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time. Through their investigation, police say they learned the two men knew each other, and this was not a random act.
Police were able to locate one of the men and a gun they say was fired during the incident. Malik Bailey of Rochester has been charged with two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to authorities.
Police are still searching for the second suspect.
