A former Newark High School faculty member is now facing federal charges, alleging he produced and received child porn.

Prosecutors say Matthew Holland targeted children online and in-person at his business.

Holland was previously arrested and extradited on charges from Virginia.

Prosecutors say investigators in Virginia traced a Snapchat account with dozens of sexually explicit conversations with minors back to Holland.

Now, federal investigators say they found hundreds of images at his home, including videos of minors undressing from Illumination Images photography studio in Newark, which he operated. They say he had hidden cameras in the dressing room.

Prosecutors also believe Holland may have recorded people at the YMCA in Canandaigua, where he used to work.

U.S. Attorney James Kennedy Jr. released a statement, saying:

"As an educator and photographer, the defendant not only had access to children but occupied a position of trust with respect to them."
