Residents are still seeking answers after an employee shot and killed three coworkers before turning the gun on himself in a Northern Pennsylvania supermarket. Police say 24-year-old Randy Stair fired 59 rounds at the Weis in Tunkhannock. Vince Briga up with members of the community who say they're still reeling from the news.

TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. -- It was the news no one in the town of Tunkhannock could have ever expected.

Randy Stair, 24, had just come in for his overnight shift at the Weis supermarket when he blocked the store's exits. Soon after, he would fire 59 rounds in the store before killing himself, 63-year-old Terry Sterling of South Montrose, 26-year-old Victoria Brong of Factoryville and 47-year old Brian Hayes of Springville. One witness escaped and called 911.

"It's tragic. It's not something you ever hear about in Tunkhannock. We're a very quiet town. Everybody knows everybody, so it hits home really quickly,” said Shayla Tallia.

"I was in shock. I saw it on Facebook. It was just plastered all over the place, and it's really sad," said Donna Pechulis.

Pechulis was on her way to the supermarket Friday afternoon, which is out of the norm for her. She typically shops in the evening and was going to head there the night of the crime. She had no idea how lucky she would be until she received a call from her daughter the next day.

"She texted me right in the morning. She said 'oh my God, Mom.' Because I shop at night. I work during the evening and I shop here at night. She's like 'oh my God, you weren't there?' and I'm like 'no,' so it's scary," said Pechulis.

Antonio’s Pizzeria sits just a few spots down from the supermarket. Employees say the tragedy made them question their safety the next day.

A few people left flowers in a small memorial at the supermarket, remembering the three lives lost. The Weis remains closed.

The investigation now shifts to the online trail left by Stair, but his motive remains unclear.
