2 Arrested on Arson Charges, Accused of Setting Fire to Home While People Were Inside

GATES, N.Y. -- Gates police announced the arrest of two men they say intentionally set fire to a home while people were inside.

21-year-old Jared Cappon of Greece and 18-year-old Nicholas Caracci of Gates are charged with second degree arson.

Police say the two set fire to a Debby Lane home around 3 a.m. last Thursday.

Police say the residents saw flames and were able to escape.

Cappon is being held in the Monroe County Jail on $7,500 cash bail and Caracci on $15,000.

Police say a domestic relationship appears to be the motive.
