The Rochester woman convicted of killing a man and seriously injuring another while driving drunk was sentenced Wednesday.

Chermasia Collins, 29, was sentenced to five to 15 years in prison on aggravated vehicular homicide charges.

Collins was speeding on Lyell Avenue when she lost control, jumped a curb and hit two men on the sidewalk back in Febuary. Jordan Askew, 26, died at the scene and Alex Kunz, 21, was hurt.

According to court documents, Collins admitted that she had been drinking before the incident.

In addition to prison time, she will have to pay a fine. Her license is also suspended and an ignition interlock device will be installed while she's on parole.
