ONTARIO, N.Y. — A former Town of Ontario employee accused of altering water department records has been cleared of all charges.
Former water utilities superintendent Rodney Peets was charged back in October with offering a false instrument for filing, tampering with a public record and official misconduct.
Investigators accused Peets of changing water department records between February 2015 and March 2016.
Officials say Peets was with the department for 37 years, and superintendent for seven of them, before he retired in August of 2015.
The Wayne County District Attorney says the judge dismissed charges Tuesday.
