ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester man has been found guilty of a nearly fatal stabbing.
John Parnell Jr., 56, was convicted of first degree assault.
He stabbed an acquaintance on the sidewalk near the intersection of Dewey and Ridgeway Avenues on October 6 over a debt of $10.
The victim was able to walk to the fire department, but lost 40 percent of the blood in his body and nearly died.
Parnell Jr. has a prior felony conviction and faces up to 25 years in prison when he's sentenced next month.
