MANCHESTER, N.Y. — A former Manchester Town Justice was arraigned in Ontario County Court Wednesday on several charges including grand larceny, and scheme to defraud.
The Ontario county sheriff's office arrested 45-year-old Erika Martin.
They say her charges are the result of crimes that were discovered in Martin's personal accounts during their investigation into missing money from the town of Manchester fine account while Martin was a sitting town justice.
Investigators say several local financial institutions suffered a monetary loss as a result of Martin, citing checks between various accounts she held in 2016.
She will appear back in Ontario County Court December 20th.
