A Rochester man charged in a homicide last October pleaded guilty Wednesday.
Erick Omar Figueroa was charged with second-degree murder for the death of Catherine Everdyke in October last year.
The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says he beat and strangled her over the course of two days, resulting in her death.
A witness called 911, which led officers to the home on Wolff Street where they found Everdyke's body wrapped in blankets.
Court documents say Everdyke suffered blunt force trauma and strangulation.
The DA's Office says he will be formally sentenced to 20 years to life in prison on December 19.
