GENESEO, N.Y. -- A Geneseo student is now facing charges, following the forfeiture of the team's football season on drug allegations.

Geneseo police say a 16-year-old is charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

They say the student provided OxyContin to three other 15 and 16-year-old players.

Due to the students age, his name is not being released.

He was reportedly released and expected back in Geneseo Village Court next week.

Officials say it's up to the District Attorney's Office if they want to convene a Grand Jury.
