Wastewater in Monroe County is now being tested for any signs of COVID-19.

Crews were out Monday morning taking samples.

The county is using water in the sewer system to help predict where coronavirus may begin to spike. It will be tested at five different locations across the county.

Similar testing is also taking place at RIT. College officials say they will be testing water from dorm rooms once students return to campus.
