National Nurses Week continues on Spectrum News.

Staff at the Jewish Senior Life nursing home in Brighton went above and beyond to make their nurses feel appreciated.

A Hollywood entrance to and from work for the healthcare heroes Thursday was organized, with the nursing home also providing free donuts!

Organizers say residents at Jewish Senior Life are lucky to have such dedicated nurses.

"We can't allow visitors to come in, we can't have families come," Emy Giacalone, Senior VP of Human Resources at Jewish Senior Life said. "So our employees are really their family. They take care of them. They reach out to them. They make them feel good and warm. They're very dedicated. They play games with them. They hold their hand and that's mostly what it's all about."

Remember, we're looking to hear from you about the nurses in your life!

Please send us photos, videos and stories about the nurses you want to recognize this National Nurses Week!

You can send them to submissions@charter.com - and we may put them on-air or on our website!
