ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Gas prices are up again over the past week, due in part due to Hurricane Ida.

AAA says prices at the pump started fluctuating over the weekend as Ida hit the gulf.

Despite Ida being hundreds of miles away, it still slows production, which leads to the rise in gas prices locally.

In Rochester, gas is at $3.20 a gallon, up $0.01 compared to last week.

Fortunately, Rochester is lower than the state average, which is at $3.23 cents per gallon.

Still both are higher than the national average, at $3.15.
