GREECE, N.Y. — Just a day after nixing Memorial Day observances, the town of Greece says those events are back on.

That announcement came from Town Supervisor Bill Reilich Wednesday.

The town and the American Legion Post say the parade will happen on Monday, May 31 at 11 a.m., to be followed by a memorial service at 11:45 a.m.

Reilich said he heard from several town residents after Tuesday's decision to cancel, urging him to reconsider.

He also says the local director of the Veterans Service Agency says there's no restriction on outdoor holiday gatherings.
