PERRY, N.Y. – This one is for all the reptile and dinosaur lovers.

The Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism Office opened New York's first and only reptile zoo and dinosaur museum, Prehistoric World in Perry.

Admission is $8 and season passes are $30.  Museum officials say guests will be able to learn, interact and hold species from tropical and forest environments.

"They can definitely check out the exhibits and see the animals behind the glass, but what's really important for us is for people to have the interaction with the animals,” said Prehistoric World Owner Crystal Poyfair. “So, we have animals that are on display with our zookeepers where they can actually touch and hold a variety of species, and talk to the zookeeper’s one on one if they have questions."

For Halloween, the museum is hosting a costume contest. Come in with one of your best Halloween costumes to enter for a chance to win a bag of candy and free animal feeding.
