The town of North Dansville is in the process of updating its master plan for the Dansville Municipal Airport.
On Tuesday, the town along with planners held a town hall meeting, so people had the chance to weigh in on what they would like to see at the airport. Planners say they are looking at improving pavement maintenance, adding more hangars and updating the fuel farm, so fuel is more accessible for the pilots.
"Whether it's one plane or 50 planes, you want to do everything in your power to keep safe, so when they come in, they land and take off, they don't crash their plane and run into the trees," said Dennis Mahus, North Downsville Town Supervisor.
Once the master plan is complete, the next step will be to go to the FAA to help fund some of the projects.
