The Genesee Brewery is once again getting into the holiday spirit by preparing for its annual Keg Tree lighting

Workers were busy stacking the kegs on Tuesday.

The event will take place Friday at 5 p.m. at the Genesee Brew House on St. Paul Street.

When completed, the Keg Tree stands nearly three-stories tall and is covered with around 30,000 multi-colored lights. The tree is made up of nearly 530 Genesee Beer Kegs.

According to brewery staff members, this year will be special because they've added more lights so the tree will be even brighter than before. The brewery began preparing for the event in July so they can make sure everything is ready for the main event on Friday.

For those who plan on going to the celebration it's recommended you use the ramp garage across the street or taking an Uber because parking will be tight.
