The Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge reopened to vehicle traffic on Friday, November 1.

The bridge connecting Irondequoit to Webster closes to cars and trucks every spring to allow boaters to travel between Lake Ontario and Irondequoit Bay.

Monroe County officials said Friday's high winds could lengthen the process of swinging the bridge back into place for the season.

The road will remain open until March 31, 2020.
