The Village of Fairport was rockin' and rollin' with a brand new music festival to benefit Rochester Regional Health's Neuroscience Institute.

The new event, called Steel Rail Revival, welcomed hundreds of people to listen to some of the area's local musical talent — 29 different bands performed.

Among them were Rochester Music Hall of Fame members like Lou Gramm, Duke Jupiter, Cinnamon Jones and Mr. Mustard.

Rochester Regional Vice President of Neuroscience Mary Dombovy has a unique relationship with Gramm that spans several decades.

"It was sort for an accident, it was many years ago," Dombovy said. "Lou needed some help after surgery for his brain tumor, that was in his book, Jukebox Hero, and he came to us for that brain injury recovery program back in the 90s and about six years ago Lou moved into a house next to me!"

Rochester Regional Health is known nationally for its expertise in the treatment of strokes and traumatic brain injuries.
