An Emmy-winning documentarian came Rochester to screen her music video tribute to Nicole Brown Simpson, as part of an anti-domestic violence initiative.
"I Remember Nicole" was screened at the women's homeless shelter "Jennifer's House" Monday night.
Renee Sotile, the video's director and co-writer says it serves as both a music video and a call to action for women.
"Songs are the soundtrack of our lives and I just thought this would be the perfect way to raise awareness and do a call to action," Sotile said. "It's not a scary thing. People hear it in a song, and maybe they could relate to it."
The video highlights the annual Willow Walk in Charlotte.
This year is the 25th anniversary of Simpson's murder. Her ex-husband, former Buffalo Bills running back O.J. Simpson, was acquitted in her death.
