WEBSTER, N.Y. -- Webster residents had a lot to say about possible development at a local golf course Tuesday night.
Combat Construction hopes to build about 114 single family homes on top of the the Webster West Golf Course on Salt Road.
The proposal came with its critics as several neighbors voiced their concerns on the controversial project.
“Putting 114 units on that golf course is too many,” said resident, Erwin Smith.
The town has advised the developers to take in account concerns of flooding on the course`s wetlands, traffic, noise and the need to give current homeowners enough space.
"The biggest concerns I think were trying to satisfy the neighbors as best we can with this project because it does really infringe on their properties in a sense," said Webster planning board member, Tony Casciani.
There will be another meeting in October to discuss the plans for the project.
