BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Erie County Democrats have endorsed three local candidates for the State Senate.
Party leaders announced the candidates at their headquarters in Buffalo Saturday.
They endorsed Thomas Casey, a Williamsville attorney and activist.
He'll face off against incumbent Pat Gallivan in the 5th Senate District.
Parkside Community Association President Amber Small was endorsed for the 60th Senate District seat.
It's currently held by Marc Panepinto, he announced in March he wouldn't seek reelection.
County Clerk Chris Jacobs is the endorsed Republican running in the 60th district.
"I think we put forth a strong slate that's going to speak about reform, that's going to speak about ethics reform," Erie County Democratic Committee Chairman Jeremy Zellner said. "We just feel like this is going to be a great year for democrats."
Party leaders also endorsed Erie County Legislator Thomas Loughran for the 61st Senate District Seat.
He'll be running against incumbent Michael Ranzenhoffer.
