BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs is warning drivers about a vehicle warranty scam.
Jacobs said people are getting letters that seem to be from the Department of Motor Vehicles, urging them to extend the warranty on their vehicle.
Jacobs said to pay close attention to the return address. The scam letter is from the "Motor Vehicle Division."
He said if you get one of these letters in the mail, you should ignore it.
