If it felt tougher to get around this past holiday season it wasn't your imagination.

The MTA says there were 63,000 weekday delays on trains last December, compared to just over 52,000 the year before.

The agency says overcrowding was to blame for more than 28,000 of the delays.

There were more than 14,000 delays on weekends, which was up by more than 3,000 delays compared to December 2015.

The MTA says about 66 percent of trains arrived at the end of their line on time last year.

While, nearly 70 percent arrived on time in 2015.
