Position battles and the return of injured players are all taking a back seat this week to Stefon Diggs and what's been going on since the Buffalo Bills lost in the playoffs to the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bills’ top wide receiver was a no show during OTAs but did eventually take the practice field during mandatory mini-camp. Of course, that was after missing a day that started with Bills head coach Sean McDermott calling his absence “concerning” — that was later walked back when the team said Diggs was given an excused absence following a meeting with coached and players.

Nonetheless, Diggs was on the field catching balls from Josh Allen the following day, along with talking with teammates and offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. At points during this Diggs drama, play calling has been mentioned.

Diggs taking part in mini-camp is a good sign he will be there day one of camp, and we'll hear from him at some point for the first time since last season over the coming weeks. Will that provide answers? Probably not.

The team has said that things with Diggs have been resolved. We likely won't see how true that is until the season gets underway.
