It's time to close the books on another season for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

Fans walked into NYSEG Stadium this Labor Day to watch the Ponies play one final game until next year. In honor of the last game, the Ponies declared it 'fan appreciation day' at the ballpark.

Despite the team not making it to the post-season, fans think their experience has been changed for the better.

"We enjoy baseball anyway but I think the way this place is set up and all the amenities, the changes, it makes it more family-friendly," said Rumble Ponies fan Dave Downs.

The home crowd went home happy as the Rumble Ponies defeated the Hartford Yard Goats 4-3.

Staff members have already started to prepare for next season, and it will be a big one. Binghamton is hosting the 2020 All-Star game.
