Spectrum is offering support to a YWCA in the Hudson Valley.

The company donated $5,000 to help with YWCA Ulster County programming. The county comptroller said the money will bolster the area's cultural diversity and educational offerings.

"Well we learned during the pandemic just how important broadband is," county Comptroller March Gallagher said. "From every walk of life, whether it's your health care, your education, your job, your ability to do civic engagement and attend a town hall meeting. So you know, families that are not connected are really missing out on opportunities that should be available to them, and hopefully with support like this, there's going to be a lot more connectivity."

Charter Communications is the parent company of both Spectrum and Spectrum News.
