The city has been preparing for one of the biggest monster truck events in the country.

“All we do is come in on two days prior to the event, and we put up plastic and our safety holes and things of that nature and we just start loading in dirt,” said Rebecca Marsh, Monster Jam tour manager.

Eight different monster jam trucks are featured on the floor, showcasing their tricks and even having a little competition.

“We also have our Sky Wheelies two wheel skills, possible donuts, backflip and freestyle competition. That is 75 seconds of nothing but pure mayhem,” said Marsh.

The Monster Jam trucks are coming from all over the country, including one driver from Ohio.

“This weekend we have eight competitors. Those eight competitors are amazing. They come from all over the world, all over the United States. We have Jamie Sullivan, who is a UNO graduate from here in Ohio, that will actually be competing in a monster jam truck with Monster Mutt Dalmatian,” said Marsh.

Experts are expecting tens of thousands of people to attend this weekend because of the Midwest's love of monster trucks.

“Overall, for the whole entire weekend, we're looking to have around 40,000 people just come to watch Monster Jam,” said Marsh.

Monster Jam this weekend consists of four separate events. One Friday, two Saturday and one Sunday. To get tickets to Monster Jam this weekend, visit monsterjam.com or Ticket Master.
