More migrants from New York City arrived in the Hudson Valley on Thursday.

At least one bus of adult males arrived at the Knight Inn Hotel in Liberty in Sullivan County.

Earlier in the day, the Sullivan County Legislature said in a statement through Chairman Robert Doherty that the county is expecting "80 New York City social services clients" to be transported from the city to Sullivan County.

County officials declared a state of emergency, which said in part that the county’s severe housing crisis would limit its ability to provide temporary, permanent and emergency housing for residents of the county and any new arrivals.

"The way the City, New York State and the Federal government are approaching this issue is reckless and unsustainable, as many County leaders have said across the State. In Sullivan’s case, we fear that this will displace a number of our otherwise-homeless residents, who we house in this and other lodging establishments," the statement from Doherty read.

Doherty said the county would seek legal "remedies" to oppose the move.

He said Doherty there’s concern that some in the county would be displaced by the new arrivals.

“The county has a deal in place with the Knights Inn for 30 rooms,” Doherty said. “Some quick calculations on how many people are coming, it looks like some people are going to be displaced. We'll know more later.”

Migrants from New York City first arrived in the Hudson Valley last week. Earlier this week, a New York Supreme Court judge granted a temporary restraining order against New York City, stopping them from sending more migrants to Orange County.

Meanwhile, Dutchess County officials are issuing a state of emergency ahead of expected migrant arrivals this weekend.

Sources had told Spectrum News 1 that an unknown number of migrants would be arriving in Dutchess County, with no set time of arrival, but Dutchess County Executive William F.X. O'Neil said in a statement that after talking with "City, State and local officials, we do not expect any migrants and/or asylum seekers from New York City to be housed in Dutchess County today," adding that they were told negotiations were underway for migrants to arrive Sunday.
