A big part of the Thruway's conversion to cashless tolling is now complete.
The final gantry at exit 42 on I-90 in Geneva has been installed. Crews are now putting equipment like sensors and cameras on those gantries which will read E-Z Pass tags and take pictures of license plates.
The cashless toll system is not up and running yet, but the goal is to have everything finished by the end of this year.
