TOPSAIL ISLAND, N.C. -- We now know the name of a man whose body was pulled from the water off Topsail Island.
- The man is identified as Fernando Garcia, Jr.
- A kayak was also found
- It's the second believed drowning off of Topsail Beach in a week

The Topsail Beach police chief confirms that Harnett County man Fernando Garcia, Jr. drowned.
The 69-year-old man's body was discovered Sunday.
The chief says a kayak was also found.
He believes Garcia was kayaking in the North Topsail Inlet before he died.
This is the second believed drowning off of Topsail Beach in less than a week. 62-year-old Jerry Thompson drowned, likely from a rip current, Wednesday afternoon.
Officials advise swimmers to be careful in the area.
