On August 3, 2008, Jessica Streczyk's brother Philip, took his own life.

"He was adventurous, he loved to hunt, he loved to fish, he was about family. He actually went to my cousin's daddy-daughter dance," Jessica said.

With September being National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Orange County wants you to know they have a crisis call center.

"[It] allows people in any type of crisis to give us a call and help them, whatever their needs are, meet them where they're at — which could be sending out a peer, or using the mobile response team," said Sheena Carey, Orange County Crisis Call Center program manager.

Jessica says reaching out for help is key.

"If he could have only reached out that night, he didn't have to go through anything alone," Jessica said.

The Orange County crisis call hot line is available 24/7.
