The daring young men and women on the flying trapeze are making their return to the Erie County Fairgrounds.

For the 73rd year, the Shrine Circus is back in Buffalo, bringing with it acrobats, clowns and live animal performances.

There are nine opportunities to thrill under the big top between Wednesday and Sunday, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

“We want to make kids’ live better,” said Michael Hackford, chairman of Shrine Circus Buffalo. “Sometimes we can’t make them whole, but we do improve their quality of life, and that is what we try to do and it comes at no cost to the families.”
