A young Ulster County woman was honored Monday at Albany's College of Saint Rose.

The college announced a new initiative for women, aided by a financial gift. But they also introduced the first seven women to be named BOLD Women's Leadership Scholars.

Belinda Ligotino, hailing from Ellenville, is one of them. She praised the idea to create the BOLD scholars when Spectrum News previously spoke with her.

Ligotino is being recognized in part because she is president of the Rose Record Label. The student-run label is a local music pipeline that she says involves around 60 people.
