A development company says they want to bring a grocery store back to Goshen.

Tonight Fareri Associates is proposing a Goshen Plaza overhaul to the planning board. According to the developers, the $60 million project would bring in new businesses on-site-adding about 190 jobs.

The plan includes a grocery store, and re-building a CVS on the property with an added drive-thru pharmacy, plus other businesses. It also proposes a new parking lot, to alleviate the pothole problem across the plaza.

"We will do all the new drainage, all new lighting, striping, paving, and that parking lot will be as if he built a new one. That's the only way to do it. We think that 's what the people deserve, we think that's what our retail customers are going to demand, and that's the only way we know how to build," said Goshen Plaza Associates Project Leader Neil DeLuca.

This plan would take a few months to get approvals if the planning board agrees to it. Fareri Associates anticipates the pharmacy would open fall 2020, and the supermarket would open fall 2021.
