Not your typical arrival at Newburgh's Stewart International Airport.

The Navy Blue Angels landed Friday, as officers begin planning for the team's performance in the 2019 New York Air Show this summer.

The team says it takes a lot of preparation, and the final product is about more than just entertainment.

"It's awesome, we get to go around the country. It's the best job ever. Showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Marine Corps, and inspire youth to think about something bigger than themselves. It's exciting to be able to do that and bring it to people across the country," said Lieutenant Commander Adam Kerrick, who is also the Navy Blue Angels events coordinator.

The 2019 New York Air Show is set for August 24 and 25 at the Stewart International Airport.
